Waveshare display made on the basis ofe-paper technology, which makes this type of display suitable for e-book readers and electronic magazines. The diagonal of the screen is 1.64 ", and the resolution is 168 x 168 px . The image is displayed in four colors : red, yellow, black and white. The screen uses the SPI interface for communication purposes and works with boards such as Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano , Arduino, STM32, etc.

The e-paper display, also known as e-paper display, uses electrophoretic microcapsule technology to present data. This means that it mimics the appearance of standard ink found on traditional paper. This type of technology is extremely user-friendly - screens do not emit blue glow, are passively reflective and provide a wide viewing angle. - CS - chip select (activated low)
- DC - data / command selection pin (high state for data, low state for commands)
- RST - reset, activated by low state
- BUSY - output pin of the busy state, activated high
