Metal Skies is a game from the year 2020, known in the Anglo-Saxon world as under falling skies.

It is a single player game designed by tomaš uhliř (creator of other games like sanctum or first snow).

In metal skies we will have to take charge of an underground base, trying to stop an alien invasion.

The artistic design is carried out by the couple formed by kwanchai moriya and petr bohaček.

The original publication of the game was carried out by the well-known board game publisher czech games edition, and now you can enjoy it in Spanish.

Metal Skies is a game in campaign format, divided into several missions.

During the course of the games we will have to defend a city besieged by an alien invasion.

Skies of Metal is based on a dice placement mechanic, in which the higher the value of the dice, the better the actions we can take, but this will make the alien ships descend on the city faster.

During the development of the game we will have to maintain a constant balance between defending the city, shooting down the enemy ships that come close and investigating while we watch the power supply.

Time is running against us! Will you be able to prevent the invasion or will you see the city destroyed? On a thematic level, metal skies is presented to us like this:

aliens have arrived to conquer the earth.

Enemy ships fill the skies.

Humanity retreats to underground bunkers located under cities around the world.

Build a team from around the world to save your planet and defeat the aliens! One of the things that stands out is the clear nod to the classic video game Space Invaders, from 1978.

Metal Skies is a clear visual tribute to one of the icons of the world of video games and of pop culture in general:

both the visual section as well as the design of the components will make us evoke the sensations of the original game.

At the beginning of each turn of metal skies we roll the 5 dice, which represent the personnel that work against the clock in the base.

Dice management, using the best strategy, is the key to avoiding the alien invasion and winning the game.

As we have said, the higher the number on the dice, the better actions we can use, although we speed up the arrival of the ships.

Two of the dice are control dice, which allow us to reroll all the dice we haven´t placed yet.

To increase the replayability of metal skies, each portion of the sky on the map we play on has two faces:

one more threatening and complicated, and the other simpler.

For each of the difficult sides that we play, increase the threat level from 0 to 4.
