Touchscreen display made by Waveshare ine-papertechnologywith diagonal of2,9'' and resolution of 296x 128 px. The screen works with any 40-pin version ofRaspberry Pi, and can also be used with Arduino and STM32. The image is displayed in two colors: black and white. The module usesSPIandI2Cinterfaces for communication. The e-paper technology makes this type of display suitable for use in e-book and electronic magazine readers.

The e-paper displays work based on electrophoretic microcapsule technology: charged particles suspended in a transparent liquid move to the sides of the microcapsule when an electric field is applied, making the microcapsule visible by reflecting ambient light, just like traditional printed paper. The e-paper display clearly displays images/text in lamplight or natural light, requires no backlight, and has a viewing angle of nearly 170°. This type of display is usually used in e-book readers because of its paper-like effect.
