Arduino Portenta X8 is a very efficient industrial module with a pre-installed Linux operating system. It is equipped with WiFi wireless connectivity and Bluetooth Low Energy for wireless software or OTA application updates. It is based on two microcontrollers : NXP i.MX 8M Mini Cortex A53 Quad-Core up to 1.8 GHz + 1x Cortex M4 up to 400 MHz, as well as STMicroelectronics STM 32H747 Cortex M7 Dual-Core up to 480 MHz + 32-bit ARM Cortex M4 up to 240 MHz. The board is equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of eMMC memory .

The Arduino Portenta X8 board has been designed with industrial security in mind. It has a PSA Certificate and is equipped with the NXP SE050C2 cryptographic system, which ensures key generation, accelerated cryptographic operations and secure storage. It has been awarded the ARM System Ready certification and Parsec integrated services, making it one of the first Cassini products available to developers on the market. The Arduino Portena X8 features a configurable Linux microPlatform operating system, built using industry best practices for end-to-end security, incremental OTA updates, and fleet management.
The Arduino Portenta X8 enables IT professionals, system integrators and consulting firms to build and improve a wide range of solutions for industrial contexts, and it can also be used for building automation and intelligent agricultural applications.
